My guest today on Adult Site Broker Talk is Alex Guyan of U2AI. Alex thanks for being with us on Adult Site Broker Talk. Thank you Bruce, thank you for having me. It’s a pleasure. Alex is the founder of U2.AI, a platform changing the adult entertainment industry by merging cutting-edge AI technology with top talent. Starting as a curious 15-year-old entrepreneur in Spain, Alex faced many challenges and failed startups. However, his perseverance led him to Miami where he’s also earning his business degree. His mission is to enhance the creator economy by providing fans with unique ways to connect with both virtual and real models. His work has taken him to speak at adult entertainment events across the US and earned features on TV platforms like Telemundo. Their platform offers the unique opportunity to chat with either real life or virtual models. The real models are represented by their AI twins, providing an authentic experience while their virtual models bring their own unique charm, allowing fans to explore their inner fantasies with a partner who completely understands what they want. Fans can engage in text and voice conversations, request images, and even share their own pictures for a personalized response. They aim to create a seamless and exciting connection that pushes the boundaries of what’s possible in fan-model interactions, offering a realistic and engaging x-rated chat experience that takes you on a journey of self-discovery. They’re currently seeking models to onboard and create their AI twins, offering them an innovative way to earn passive income. They’re also looking for affiliates interested in promoting their platform. Alex, tell us a bit about the inspiration behind U2.AI and how it got started. Thank you, Bruce, first of all, for this great introduction. The inspiration mainly came from just viewing at the current growth of the whole creator economy. As a young adult, I’m always on Instagram, social media platforms, and I’m also super curious and have this very entrepreneurial attitude. When I saw the numbers that I saw, the creator economy was growing at levels that are astronomical. In 2030, it’s expected to be a market with more than $500 billion. It’s a very, very big market and it’s growing and it’s expanding. Last year, I was just looking at the news and I found this AI girlfriend. The first AI girlfriend, and it became viral. I was very surprised. I investigated. I tried her out and I said, "Why does this only exist for one real-life model? Why doesn’t this exist for all the models? Why can’t we make it something that is more interactive for the people, a way that fans can engage with their favorite models, not only with one, but with every model?" That’s where when the idea came, you know, U2.AI, we were basically creating AI versions of real-life models and AI versions of invented models, virtual models. From there, we started really small. I started by myself. Then I’m a programmer, so I had programmer friends and I started with another co-founder. We built an MVP. We went to events. We went to Exotica, Miami, New Jersey, Washington, also AVN. Through going to those events, we started learning more about the industry, what people want, what the users like, what they dislike, how to speak with models, how to onboard them, how to build a product that is essentially good for all the parties. I’m sure we’re going to talk more about this further along in the podcast, but a big question that a lot of people have is, "Will AI take my job?" Yeah, I think good summary for the moment. Yeah, definitely. There’s a lot of fear about that. Absolutely. When I’ve been going to these events last year, 2023, and this year, I’ve been in AVN Las Vegas and Expace Miami, there’s all of these new AI companies. There’s all of these models that are curious. Obviously, it’s a really trendy topic right now. They are obviously interested, but they’re also fearful. It’s super important to know about this new technology that is coming to the market because it can either benefit you or it can’t benefit you. The ways it is not going to help you is if you simply ignore it because it is a fact that AI is going to be integrated in mostly all industries in the world. There’s good ways that we can make use of AI and there’s bad ways. There’s companies that use AI to do deep fakes of people that have not consented those deep fakes, which is bad obviously. Then there’s other companies that are trying to do good with AI and actually build products that align with what people want to see, like for example, U2.AI, where we work directly with models, we work with models, get consent from them to build their AI versions. Their AI versions consist of basically their replica. This replica gets their personality. If the model has a certain type of personality, we will attest them. She has to respond to certain questions and through those questions, we form their AI twin. That AI twin will be then capable to speak with her own voice, chat with her personality through text messages, and also she will be able to send images. This images can be not safe for work or they can be safe for work. It all depends on the preferences of the model. That’s a little bit about AI in the space. I’m sure you have many more questions. Oh yeah, I do. One of them is there’s a lot of AI startups right now. What sets U2.AI apart from other platforms in the adult industry? As I was mentioning, there’s a lot of different platforms. Some platforms only offer ways where fans and users can interact with this AI models, be it simply text messages or voice messages, or they can only generate images, explicit images, not safe for work images. U2.AI integrates everything. We’re basically creating a database of AI twins, of AI models, where a fan can simply click on that model and they can directly start chatting with that model through text messages, through voice messages, can ask images, and not only that, but fans can also send their own images to get a personalized response from these AI models. Essentially it’s an AI girlfriend, basically, if you can consider it like that. Sure. So, as I just mentioned, AI is all the craze right now in our industry and obviously in the entire world. As with any new technology, there’s a sorting out process. When do you think this will happen and when will the industry leaders step up and make themselves known? What a great question. I know, I asked it. So in the end, it’s all about providing users with a good experience. Obviously, if you can get users because of the hype that there is right now, but then it turns out that your product doesn’t have that much quality, then you will lose reputation. So that’s exactly what we don’t want to happen with U2.AI. This is a long-term project. We’re looking forward. We have a vision. We have a vision where fans and models can interact 24/7 and all of them can have engagement, good experience. Models can connect more with fans. Fans can feel closer to models. That’s our vision. We’re looking forward. So what’s going to happen with this sorting out process is basically going to be like this. There’s going to be companies that are going to pass through that phase of trendiness. There’s going to be companies that are going to start to get more stable, stop this massive growth that is happening right now, this boom, and there’s going to be companies that are going to become more stable. These companies with more funds, they’re going to be able to invest in more technology. And that means that more technology will bring better products. So that’s the reason why in a startup, in companies that are starting out, these companies that they’re building this type of technology right now, it’s important speed. Speed is important, but also quality is important. There’s this saying that being an entrepreneur, it’s like having to build an airplane while it’s going down to the ground. It is like that. Summary is that you have to be fast, you have to provide value, you have to have a vision, and that’s what we’re trying here with you to.af. It’s not for the meek. Exactly. So how do the AI twins of real models work and what makes them unique? How do they work? So as I said, models have to fill in a form. In this form, we ask questions about what they want to talk about, what they don’t want to talk about, the taboos, which is obviously super important. If they have something that they don’t want to talk about, they can always write that down and the AI won’t talk about that. Then from this form, we also get their voice samples. And we go back and forth with the model on what does she like, what does she doesn’t like about her AI. And then in the end, they give us the thumbs up to publish their AI and fans to start interacting with their AI version. That’s how it’s currently working. And in the end, we want to provide an AI that is authentic, an AI that models can really see and reflect them. So that way, fans can feel that closeness with the model, that engagement with them. Yeah, and I think another thing that makes a difference is that a lot of the AI girlfriends out there aren’t really based on anybody, right? They’re just AI. Yeah, yeah. So here’s the thing. There’s this big project, okay? And it obviously makes sense to build them. It’s innovative. It’s new. It’s interesting. But we have to think about the industry, right? I mean, who built this industry? Some people behind the computer, okay, some people might say yes. But the reality is that models and entertainers are creators, are the ones that are behind all of this. That’s why we want to have them in the spotlight too. We do build virtual models too. Don’t get me wrong. We’re building AI for the whole industry, right? But we’re not taking out of the equation the stars of the show, which are the creators. What kinds of interactions can fans expect when chatting with virtual models on U2 AI? So, the type of interactions that they can experience is not safe for work or safe for work. It’s a very personalized type of interaction that they can have. AI model will usually don’t judge, although there’s AI models that they do judge, okay? It all depends on which one to use select because each one of them has different personalities. So you can feel different things with different models, right? But the type of interactions, yeah, they’re going to be really different with different models. So, if you talk to me about what communication models there are, what type of interactions, as I said, text messages, voice messages, images, image upload from the user’s part. Okay. Can you explain the types of content and experience fans can enjoy on your platform? Yeah. So, the way the platform works is basically, we want to make it as easy for fans as possible, right? So, the interface is going to be super user-friendly. It is super user-friendly. It’s basically a chat interface where you enter and you can very easily see where to type, where to send your audio message or to send your message, how to send your own images. And in this chat interface, you can simply start sending messages to the model and she will send you back messages. Okay. That’s one way you can interact. The other way is by simply going to image generation page. And in that page, you can directly go straight to prompting what type of image do you want to see from that model. And then that image will come as an output. So, the image generation part takes around 10 seconds. So, if you ask, for example, I want to see this model. I want to see her in Mars, laying down with a space suit. You prompt that. You text it. And then you press on generate image. And in 10 seconds, you will see that exact model doing that exact thing. Okay. What benefits do models gain by joining U2AI and how can they earn passive income? Great question. So, the way models benefit is essential by bringing them closer to their fans. I mean, models in the end want to have their fans engaged. They want to have more followers. They want to have more recognition. They want to be closer to their fans. Right? So, with their AI twin, they can directly speak with them without needing to be there. So, that’s why it’s interesting. Not only that, but apart from having this 24/7 availability for their fans, they can earn passive income through it. For each interaction that a fan has with a model, it’s a pay per use. Right? So, per every text messages, voice message, and image that is requested from a fan, they have to pay for it. Okay? So, a model can decide how much to charge for it. Some models charge 5 cents per text message. Some models charge $1 per 1 minute of voice message. Then for images, maybe some 30 cents. It all depends on the preferences of the model. But yeah, it’s basically a way models can earn passive income by just having their link in bio that directs to their AI twin. And that way, fans can chat with them, be closer to them, get to know them more, listen to their voice, see them in some specific type of way in a picture. So, it really is a really innovative way fans can chat with their favorite models. Good way to make money while you’re sleeping. Absolutely. Isn’t that the dream? Hey, it’s all our dreams. How has U2 AI been received by the models and fans since its launch? Among the fans, it really has been a boom. I would have never expected to have to receive so much traffic from people that are interested in talking with this AI models. And what I noticed after being in this startup, in this company for more than nine months, is that as humans, as people, we have our own ways of expressing ourselves. And sometimes, these ways of expressing ourselves is not very traditional or not very adapted to society. What these AI models do, AI girlfriends do, they understand you. You can talk about something and they’re not going to judge you. And the non-judgment, I think it’s the most important part of it. I think it’s why it’s so, so popular and it’s becoming more popular. It’s because models are not judging you and it’s a really good way you can chat, spend time, entertain yourself and have a fun time. I could just imagine an AI girlfriend judging and saying, "You want me to do what? You freak." I mean, there are personalities like that. I mean, you can’t expect that too. If that’s your type of relationship, go ahead. Can you share some success stories you’ve heard from models who have joined you to AI? Yeah. So we have several models in the platform. I can’t name them yet. But as I said, it’s a simple link in bio that they add to their Instagram, their Twitter account, their Snapchat. It’s a link in bio where fans can simply click there and they can start interacting for each interaction. It’s a paper use, so models make money. It’s basically a way that models can engage with their fans. And obviously, this is a system that has been proven to work and that is working. And that’s why we’re so popular among models and we have a wait list of more than 200 models right now. We’re still working on the auto onboarding feature, right? Because right now we’re onboarding models on a manual basis. We’re onboarding a select amount of models manually to the platform. But on the backside, we’re working on the auto onboarding feature where each model, every model can simply go to the platform, say, "Okay, I want to create my AI and I want it to be like this and like that and like that." And then they will be able to automatically, in a matter of 15 minutes, create their AI, publish their link in their bio and start any for each interaction. That’s the end vision. That’s what we want to accomplish in the medium term for the company. Okay. Give me some of the most exciting features of U2 AI that both fans and then also models should know about. Okay, so a really, really cool feature about U2 is the quality, image quality. There is no other platform that can provide the amount of quality that we have on our images. HD resolution, amazing graphics, and if you really go and compare with what’s out there, you will really see the difference of the quality. So I’m just super proud of that from U2. Then from the model side, an interesting feature about it is new, innovative way to engage with your fans. That’s the main thing. Okay. How does U2 AI ensure the privacy and security of both models and users? So the way we do that for models, for example, there is no permanency. So they fill in the form, test their AI, they give the thumbs up. If they happen to not want to continue with the project, then they can simply depart. There’s no permanence. There’s no need for them to stay in the project. So obviously we don’t share the information with third parties for the users, for the models, all the information is stored and it’s safe and we don’t share it with third parties. And regarding privacy, yeah, that would be the main thing. Okay. What future advancements or updates can we expect from U2 AI in the coming months? So a really, really cool feature. Well, maybe it’s a big feature. It would be a new market to say it’s Hentai. We’re going to create Hentai models. Okay. They’re not real. Right. I mean, these are actually like imaginary models. So we’re going to be adding them and there’s, I mean, there’s a big market for it too. We’re excited for it. Hentai is huge. Yeah. What else? And then the next feature is the auto onboarding. Super excited. Super looking forward to it. I’m sure models are going to love it. Fans are going to love it, but it takes a little bit more time. It’s a complex technology, but we’re getting there and how would it work on the platform right now? If you go and put U2.AI, you will see a button at the top nav bar where it says create my AI. So for the moment, that button goes to the waitlist, the waitlist page. You can write your email, write your information and then we can send you more information where you can learn more. That’s for the moment. Then in a couple of months time, hopefully, and give a specific date, we’re going to be able to, instead of having that waitlist site, we’re going to have an onboarding site. So here’s how it will work. There will be three sections that the models will have to fill in. One is the mind. So how the AI twin thinks, you know, how will the AI twin interact with fans? Then the second thing is the voice. They have to provide a voice sample and that’s the way the AI can replicate their voice. Then the third thing is their image. Models will have to upload specific parts of their bodies, their face, the full body, have their body pictures and then we will train stable diffusion models and provide an overall AI twin that they can publish, they can test. So, yeah, that’s the main feature that we’re very looking forward to publish. Sounds good. And I should tell people we’re recording this in early June. This will run in August, so it very well may be ready by then, right? Hopefully, hopefully, hopefully. So right now it says waitlist and then what’s that process like? Do you contact them? Yeah. So we ask for their emails and from there we will. Once things are good to go, we’ll send an email with the information about how to onboard and how to start earning passive income and that will be the way, that will be the way we will make this process work. Is that because of a limit on how much you can do right now? Yeah, so right now we’re onboarding manually. So it takes time because we have to ask models for their information, then we have to build their AI twin which takes time, then we’ll have to go back and forth with what they like, what they don’t like. So it’s a whole process to create their AI twin, right? Obviously we make it easy for them but also on the backside it’s complex, right? We want to automate everything, right? In a company you have to automate things as much as possible. Yeah, so that’s why we’re building this out onboarding features. So you said that the platform also includes live models and the process you explained was more about the AI. They’ll also be able to upload their actual pictures and videos too. Is that how that works? Does your question refer to models, to AI being able to send existing pictures and videos to fans? Is that your question? More, I mean, does it also act like an only fans type of process or no? I would say it’s an only fans process in the way fans can interact with the model because an only fan you can chat with the model. So we’re doing the same thing but instead of the real model speaking with fans, it’s the AI version of that model. In the platform we always specify it’s AI. We don’t want fans to be confused about that. So any model right now who’s on any of the other fan platforms is a great candidate for you too. Absolutely, absolutely. If you’re a model and you’re looking for new ways you can earn passive income, interact with fans, be more engaged with them, this is a great way. You can join the waitlist by clicking on Create My AI on the YouTube.ai website and join the waitlist and we’ll let you know more information about how to onboard. That’s good. How is the feedback from your participation at adult industry events and national TV appearances shaped the platform? I’m not going to deny that there’s people that have fear. There’s people that are fearful about this technology, taking their jobs. And obviously there’s going to be evil in this world and there’s going to be people that are going to use your image without your consent. And it’s happening. I mean, there’s been some images roaming around about off Taylor Swift, you know, and that’s made big news. We don’t want that. I mean, that’s not consented. That’s illegal. We don’t want that. But for the models that are publishing explicit content about themselves and they want to still be protected and they want to still earn a living from their occupation, you know, this is a great opportunity because the way your AI interacts with your fans is in a safe way. I mean, you’re not going to talk about anything that’s illegal, that’s prohibited. Apart from that, your images, the images that are being sent to fans have a watermark. So they have a watermark that says YouTube.ai, AI image. So that’s the way you are more protected against people that maybe want to sell your images or do whatever those images. Okay. Well, based on the answer to the question, should I get the impression that there’s been some pushback at the events and the TV appearances? Probably the idea has been received very positively, generally. But yeah, there’s obviously models that are more traditional to say and they’re cautious about using this new technology, which is completely understandable. But we really want to transmit to them that this is actually something that is, I would say it’s safer to do it than not to do it. Because if you don’t do it, maybe there’s going to be people out there selling your AI pictures and you don’t know about them and you’re not making anything on them. And then there is YouTube, right, where you can actually make that money from your AI images. That’s what it’s there for. For models considering joining YouTube AI, what steps should they take? Okay. And what can they expect during the onboarding process at this point? Because you did say there’s a wait. Yeah, I did say that there’s a wait list. Okay. But here’s the little difference. There’s a wait list for the majority of the models that apply. But for the models that have a very large following, I’m talking about more than an amount of followers on Instagram, for example, we do accept them and we do accept manual onboarding. The way it works is very simple. Go to the wait list, put your email, put your information. We ask for the amount of followers. We ask for your Instagram ID. And from there, we will see your application, contact you back. And it’s very simple. We’ll simply send you a form and in that form, we will create your AI replica. And if we need more information, then we will stay in touch, stay in contact and build a version that the model is happy with. That’s our priority. Sure. What is your feeling about the fact now that lawmakers in the US are starting to come up with AI legislation? It’s really funny because politicians know less about technology than anybody. Do you worry that some of this legislation is just going to get in the way of the good players like yourself? It’s always important to stay up to date with the new legislation. The thing is that it’s usually slow, right? When new technology comes out, the laws come out after maybe five years. Obviously, we have a KYC into place. Every model that onwards, we have to make them go through a KYC process so that we actually know it’s that model that is creating their AI. So yeah, we take the legality side of the business super seriously because it really is very serious. Yeah, because AI is in the news every day now. And in fact, today, I just saw that California is taking it up. And you just wonder, are they going to get it right? Yeah, I mean, in the end, it’s all about consent. We do have a contract with models where they consent that we can use their likeness to build their AI twin. If there is consent and there’s a contract and there’s good faith that things are going to go well or work out well, then obviously, it’s good business. And that’s what the state wants, right? The government wants good things to happen, the economy to be vibrant, the economy to advance. So if we have this into mind, if we have the ethics into mind, I believe that things will continue to move forward in a positive way. By the way, you’re fairly new to the adult industry, but I’m sure you’ve noticed some of the legislation that’s going through different states with age verification and the like. How does that affect AI? How does that affect AI? That’s a great question. The way we’re currently doing it is by basically allowing users to choose between two options when they first enter the site. There’s a question that says, "Are you plus 18 years of age?" And then if the user says yes, it’ll go to the YouTube.ai page. And if the user says no, it’ll go to a cats page, a page where you can see pictures of cats. That’s the traditional way of going about it. Yeah, they send them to Google or whatever. Yeah. I like the cats, though. With the new legislation, I have seen companies at events such as the XPS Miami recently where there’s been talks about this. There’s been talks about really verifying if a user is actually 18 plus years of age and how to implement those safety nets into the platform. That’s obviously what we also have to look into for the moment. We have the standard way of doing it. Yeah, you definitely should. Does that impact AI? The thing is that with AI, the pictures that are generated, depending on the model that you’re utilizing, it can be dangerous. It’s a dangerous technology. The way we do it, we don’t train our models with legal things. We don’t train it with blood or things that are not good to the eye. So in that matter, we’re safe, but it is true that there’s other models that don’t have these restrictions, and it can be harmful for the people. Have you actually gotten legal opinion on this? Yeah. Yeah. Oh, okay. So you don’t think AI is impacted by age verification? If the model is depicted to be naked? Well, yes, there is. Yes, there has to be safeguards, but it depends on what type of technology do you have. If you have a technology that can provide safe outputs, then everything is good. But if your technology can be dangerous in a way that it shows legal, so for example, there are image generation websites where a user prompts, they prompt what they want to see. And what people have came to notice is that depending on the prompt that the user is right, they for example say, "Okay, I want this girl to appear with very small breasts or no breasts." So what happens is that the AI interprets that as a very, very young girl, and at a point where it looks like minus 18 years old, right? So that would be illegal. I think what you’re talking about though is a seascam. I think you’re talking about Kitty porn, which is obviously illegal, but that’s not age verification. Age verification is that the user is over 18 and some states are actually requiring the IDs be presented. So they are old enough to see nudity, porn, whatever. Yeah. I mean, in the end, it’s AI porn. Yeah, we are inside that legislation. Okay. I hope you’re right. Yeah. We’re still a startup, but we’re still learning along the way, but obviously we want to make things right. So that’s what I can say. Yes, you do. You definitely do. Well, Alex, I’d like to thank you for being our guest today on Adultsly Broker Talk, and I hope we’ll get a chance to do this again soon. Thank you so much, Boots. It’s been my pleasure. Thank you. My broker tip today is part one of what to do to make your site more valuable for when you decide to sell it later. First make sure you’re converting as much of your traffic as possible. Traffic’s expensive, whether it’s search engine traffic, review site traffic, or affiliate traffic. You paid a lot for it. So make sure that when someone lands on your site, you give them every opportunity possible to either spend money or do whatever it is you want your visitors to do. In the case of a pay site, make sure your billing options allow as many people as possible to buy. Have multiple ways to pay. In North America, most everyone has a credit card. But in other parts of the world, credit cards aren’t used nearly as much. In Europe, for instance, credit card usage is low, so look for billing options that will match the areas where your traffic comes from. In Europe, ACH and debit cards are used a lot. In Africa and other developing nations, many people pay by mobile. Do your homework and find out how people pay in the regions you get most of your traffic. It will make you more money. The worst thing you can do is get a visitor, have them want to buy, but since you don’t have their preferred way to pay, they can’t. If you’re looking for suggestions, feel free to get in touch with me via my website. Along with this is to improve your user experience. Make your site attractive and easy to navigate. People have more options than ever these days. I can’t tell you how many sites I go to, even some that are owned by large companies, where the navigation isn’t obvious to the user. You poke around for what seems like forever to do something that should be relatively easy. Keep it simple. Before you launch any changes to your site, ask your friends to go to the site and check it out. Unfortunately, designers and tech geeks don’t think like us. You need real people to look at your site for you. The same kind of people who will be visiting your site. We’ll talk about the subject more next week. And next week we’ll be speaking with Brian Sloan of AutoBlow. And that’s it for this week’s Adult Site Broker Talk. I’d once again like to thank my guest, Alex Guillen of YouTwo.ai. Talk to you again next week on Adult Site Broker Talk. I’m Bruce Friedman. [MUSIC PLAYING] [MUSIC PLAYING] [BLANK_AUDIO]
